    What is Building Impact

    Building Impact is a two-year program offering comprehensive professional development in partnership with Early Learning Indiana and the McCormick Center for Early Childhood Leadership at National Louis University. Participants will engage in both formal and informal peer collaboration opportunities, along with financial and administrative support to implement interventions that arise during training. This includes initiatives focused on curriculum enhancement and assessment considerations.

    Key topics will include: 

    • Managing Change

    • Coaching to empower educators

    • Increasing data literacy 

    • Creating peer networks

    • Fostering communication and conflict resolution

    • Building educator resilience 

    What is a pedagogical leader?

    A pedagogical leader develops a vision for teaching and learning and coaches classroom team members to bring the vision to life. They are responsible for leading the day-to-day affairs of their school, focused on providing instructional leadership to promote growth in learning and ensuring a safe, supportive and productive learning environment for the children served, their families and team members.

    Historically, early child care and education is siloed. I joined Building Impact to be a part of a bigger network and it has been amazing. I learn something new every time we meet.
